Description
An early 20th century hand-carved wood hutch by the Orinoco Furniture Company of Columbus, Indiana. The now-dissolved Indiana furniture company, which merged with the Lincoln Chair Company in the 1930’s, specialized in quality reproductions of classical European furniture. This incredible piece in a Federal style features beautiful veneer designs and hand-carved accents. An arch pediment tops the crest of the piece, above a single door with a glass front with carved wood overlay, over a desk with a single dovetailed drawer graced with bronze tone knobs and palmette designs. The piece is raised on turned, tapered legs.
